4-H POW Center: A Storied Retreat for Outdoor Learning & Adventure
Perched atop the scenic Cumberland Plateau in Crossville, the Clyde M. York 4-H Center is a historic and expansive outdoor education facility offering camping, recreation, retreats, and year-round programming. Spread across nearly 200 forested acres, the center features well-kept cabins and lodges, a swimming pool, dining and meeting facilities, zip lines, ropes courses, canoeing, and hands-on crafts. Originally a World War II POW camp, it’s now a thriving youth development hub that blends natural beauty, learning, and memorable experiences in a welcoming setting.
